megan coit pitching

Meet megan

Megan had a love of the game from a young age as she grew up watching her father play men’s fastpitch across the country. She began playing softball at 8 years old and quickly developed her own passion for the sport and pitching!

She played competitively in the KC Area and Midwest with a local based team, the KC Expressions.  Megan’s competitiveness carried over to high school softball at Sumner Academy of Arts and Science.

She was honored 3 times by the Huron league and 4 times by the local sports writers with the Kansas City Kansan newspaper. As a senior in 1999, she was acknowledged as the player of the year for the Huron League and the Kansan.

Accomplishments that season included a .68 ERA, 9 shutouts and a perfect game. She was a unanimous choice when the vote was cast amongst area coaches. She continued playing and got a Psychology degree from Avila University, where she pitched and played 3rd base for 4 years.

Once school was finished in 2003, Megan began offering pitching lessons and coached various children’s teams in the blue springs area around her busy family schedule. In 2022 she decided to dive into pitching lessons on a regular basis and “Pitch, Please” was born. She has been happy to work with pitchers from all levels and has a strong focus on mechanics!  Beginners to advanced pitchers are welcomed.
